Honor 9 Lite to be unveiled on Dec 21, Invitations are sent, Runs Android Oreo

A new smartphone from Huawei’s sub brand Honor got listed on TENNA yesterday speculated to be Honor 9 Lite. All specifications are listed on the website along with photographs. Not only that, Huawei sent out invitations for the launch of device through an event to be held on 21st December, 2017. It will be a mid-budget range smartphone and will be an alternative to recently launched Honor 7x and Honor 9i.

Honor 9 Lite will pack a 5.6-inch LCD TFT display with screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Dual sim smartphone runs Android Oreo and chipset is unknown but claimed to be Hisilicon Kirin 659 clocked at a speed of 2.36 GHz. Mobile phone is fueled with 2900 mAH battery. It will be offered in two RAM variants of 3GB and 4GB coupled with 32GB and 64GB internal storage respectively.

Honor 9 Lite will probably pack its trademark four cameras on the top, dual camera setup for both front as well as rear panel. Listing does not provide details on camera but going by the leaks, it should offer 13 MP lens with another 2MP sensor for both sides. Device have dimensions of 151 × 71.9 × 7.6 and weighs 149 gram. It will be presented in four hues – Black, White, Blue and Gray.

Honor 9 Lite invitation shows pair of glass hinting for dual camera setup

Huawei sent out invitations for a new device launch to be held at Shenzhen Futian Sports Park, China on December 21, 2017. Invitation have a special design that shows a pair of glass most probably hints on dual camera setup on the device. Invitations also shows some text (written in Chinese) about AI which means cameras will be offered with artificial intelligence features on the top.

Price and availability of Honor 9 Lite is still unknown and if all speculations goes as patterned then on Dec 21 we will get to know about detailed specifications, prices and global launch dates as well.
