Huawei Nova 2s Launched in China, Sports 4 Cameras and Full View Display

Huawei’s Nova series got another addition on Last Thursday with launch of Nova 2s smartphone in China. Its USPs are dual cameras for both rear and front panel, Full HD+ display, 18:9 aspect ratio display. Priced at approx Rs.26,000 (converted in INR from CNY) it is fully feature-rich smartphone that can stand as a threat to other smartphones in the same price range. Huawei also launched two smartphones, Honor 7x and Honor View 10 in last week.

Huawei Nova 2s is a dual sim smartphone running on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on the top. It packs 6-inch Full HD+ display with screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 bezel-less display. Device is available in two variants where first one packs 4GB RAM and second one packs 6GB RAM. Nova 2s is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core chipset and i6 co-processor as well. Inbuilt memory in the device is of 64GB on 4GB version and 128GB on 6GB version that can be expanded up to 256GB with the help of memory cards. These powerful specifications are further souped up with 3340 mAH battery with SuperCharge feature, that promises near to 50 percent battery juice in a matter of just 30 minutes. Fingerprint sensor is attached to home button on front.

This is second offering from Huawei with double dual cameras after Honor 9i. Nova 2s has a total of 4 cameras out of which 2 are on the back-side while other two are on the front panel of the device. Accounting rear dual camera – it has 20 MP monochrome sensor and 16 MP RGB sensor and both sensors have f/1.8 aperture perfect for low-light photography. Considering Dual Front camera – it has 20 MP wide angle lens with f/2.0 aperture and added with another 2 MP camera for portrait selfies on your smartphone.

Nova 2s comes in 64GB + 4GB variant which is priced at CNY 2,699 (approx Rs.26,000), another variant of 6GB + 128GB costs around CNY 2,999 (around Rs.30,000). Availability of smartphone in India is still not disclosed on the end of the company.

Chinese Smartphone vendor, Huawei also released a special edition for Nova 2s named as ‘Yixing Zhang’ and cost slightly higher than basic version.
