Mi A1 will get fast charging feature through Oreo Update

The mid-budget offering from Xiaomi, The Mi A1 missed out one important feature – fast charging. But recent report suggests that Mi A1 Oreo update will bring quick charging on the phone and it will add another feather to super-hit handset. Earlier, company hired testers for the Oreo Beta build and rolls out Android Oreo 8.0 update specifically for the testers to identify any bugs in the build. Company promised stable stock android Oreo by the end of 2017 and wait is not so long.

The update brings out all the features (Picture-in-Picture mode, smart text selection) that Android O offers and it optimized app load time by a significant margin. Stock Nougat has some issues with animations on the device, they were not smooth which adversely affected the software experience is now fixed with the recent update. Dual camera of Mi A1 also got some significant better changes.

The highlight of update will be boarding of fast charging on the smartphone which was missed in stock version of android (that device offered at the time of launch). According to Telecom Talk, device took 92 minutes to charge 100-percent starting from zero. Earlier, it took 2 hours to time to charge full battery capacity.

Mi A1 was launched few months back with Android Nougat 7.1.2 at a price tag of Rs.14,999. However, device got permanent price cut making it valued at Rs.12,999 only. It packs a handsome bunch of features like dual camera setup at the back, 5 mega-pixel selfie camera sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clubbed with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, stock android.

As of now, no specific date is mentioned when users will be blessed with Android 8.0 Oreo on their devices. But, very soon users will get the said Over-The-Air update on their Mi A1.
