Nokia 3310 4G variant has gone official in China silently. It is souped up variant of previously launched, Nokia 3310 (2017) phone. After going through leaks and rumors, feature phone is finally listed on official Nokia site. We have all the specifications available now but pricing and availability will be revealed at Mobile World Congress, 2018.
The major highlight of Nokia 3310 4G variant is availability of 4G and VoLTE support, Wi-Fi enabled, Wi-Fi Hotspot creation. It is actually an simple upgrade to the original Nokia 3310 which was launched with only 2G support in India in May 2017, priced at Rs.3,310.
According to Nokia site, handset will be available in Fresh Blue and Deep Black colour options. It has a 2.4-inch QVGA color display with 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution. The Nokia 3310 4G runs Yun-OS and offers 256MB RAM paired with 512MB internal storage compared to 16MB on the 2G variant. The internal storage is further expandable up to 64GB with the help of microSD cards. Feature phone packs a 2 mega-pixel rear camera supported with LED flash.
It is powered by a 1200 mAH removable battery that promises to offer 15 hours on 2G, 8 hours on 3G network and 5 hours on 4G VoLTE network in terms of talk time and claimed to offer stand by time of 15 days on 4G VoLTE network. Network and connectivity features includes Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE support, Micro-USB, FM Radio and 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures 117 x 52.4 x 13.35 mm in terms of dimensions and weighs at 88.1g.
There is no official word on pricing and availability of Nokia 3310 4G variant but HMD Global is likely to reveal all such details in MWC, 2018 to be held in next month at Barcelona, Spain. All variants has made their way to India and this one is sure to reach India after the initial start of shipment in China first.
