HMD Global is planning to launch 4G variant of Nokia 3310 (2017), the name was taken from Superhit Nokia 3310 feature phone. The original version was launched in Mobile World Congress 2017 held at Barcelona and on the same note, 4G version is expected to debut at MWC, 2018. Key specifications are already listed on TENNA (a website whose certification is mandatory for launching any phone in China). Specifications hinted on fast processor and ultimately higher performance through 2018 version.

The Nokia 3310 4G variant, now supports various LTE bands like Band 38, Band 39, Band 40 and Band 41 along with standards such as GSM, TD-SCDMA, and TD-LTE. It is clear that mobile phone will support various 4G networks in India. VoLTE support will also be available for networks such as Jio.
A major change was seen in the specifications, Nokia 3310 4G will be powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor instead of 360MHz single-core processor on the original handset. Dual-core processor will be paired with 256MB RAM and 512MB internal memory. Previous edition packed 16MB RAM and 64MB storage. New Nokia will run YunOS 5.2.0. Except these no major change was witnessed through specifications.

Original Nokia 3310 packs a 2.4-inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution. Handset also have microSD support up to 32GB. In terms of optics, phone sports a 2 mega-pixel camera with LED flash and no secondary camera is available. It has a battery capacity of 1200mAH and same will be followed on the newer variant. Measurement of newer mobile is as follows – 117 × 52.4 × 13.3 mm and weighs around 73.5g.
According to relation, Nokia 3310 4G should launch in MWC 2018 to be held in late February. There is no brick and mortar information regarding launch in India but certain speculations suggests that Indian version of phone will have another set of specifications.
Nokia 3310 is marked as the comeback phone of Nokia, manufactured by HMD Global. Apart from this, Nokia 1 is also expected to launch in early March 2018.
