Nokia 3310 arrives in India, sale start from 18th May, priced at Rs.3310

The iconic feature phone from Nokia finally arrives to India after a long wait. Yes Nokia 3310 will go on sale from 18th May, 2017 in India. HMD Golbal, the company who owns the rights of Nokia brand confirmed that Nokia 3310 will be available to buy in India via offline channels in four colors Warm Red, Yellow, Dark Blue and Grey at a price of Rs.3310 only.

However, Nokia android phones may wait for few weeks to be released in India (earlier expected to release on 8th May)  despite the hype that they are going to release in the month of May. Looks like Nokia wants to check the air of Indian smartphone industry before making the launch of their android phones. Whether people still trust the brand or not will be decided by the sale of Nokia 3310 mobile phone.

Nokia already grabbed the limelight in MWC 2017 global congress by releasing their phones. They have been the talk of town since then. Announcing the new Nokia 3310, Ajey Mehta, VP India, HMD, Global said,

“Talk all day on a single charge, send texts, take pictures and enjoy a pocket jukebox with a built-in FM Radio and MP3 player. Our reinvention of this classic design is sure to make you smile. It’s got everything you remember, but with a modern twist. So whether you’re after a feature phone that offers amazing battery life in a head turning design or a companion phone, the Nokia 3310 won’t let you down.”

Coming to Nokia 3310 specifications, phone sports a new refreshing design unlike old version with new curved screen designed to improve readability in sunlight. No pin charger for this phone instead it holds a micro-usb port. Connectivity is limited to 2G  and bluetooth only. Feature phone boast 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) colour display, compared to the 48×84 pixel resolution of the original.

Nokia 3310 feature phone gets a 2 mega-pixel primary camera along with LED flash. Internal storage on the device is 16MB and can be expanded upto 32GB with microSD cards. It also offers FM radio and 1200 mAH battery (offers 22 hours of talk-time and one month stand by). Also don’t forget that it have the classic snake game which was the key point of previous Nokia feature phones.

Nokia 3310 (2017) will be available for purchase from your nearby offline retailers. Online availability is yet to confirm. Other Nokia android phones are still awaiting launch in India.
