HMD Global has recently launched the customized superior variant of previous outing, Nokia 8. The Sirocco variant is basically an upgrade to the previous edition. It is launched through an official launch event held at New Delhi. The same event also marked the launches of Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 (2018). It is also the part of Android One program that brings swift updates to the smartphone in near future. Nokia 8 Sirocco was first announced at Mobile World Congress 2018 in February, 2018.

The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo (the stock version of android i.e. no customizations) and supports only Single SIM. The Nokia 8 Sirocco sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD P-OLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has an always-on display with 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor where four cores are clocked at 2.5GHz and other four at 1.8GHz speed. This handset comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The camera department of Nokia 8 Sirocco includes a dual rear camera featuring double 12 mega-pixel image sensors where first 12MP comes with f/1.75 aperture and second sensor comes with f/2.6 aperture. The dual rear camera comes with supported features like dual pixel phase detection autofocus, 2x optical zoom, Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED dual-tone flash. It also comes with 5 megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It’s connectivity features includes 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and NFC.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is charged up with 3260mAh capacity battery which is claimed to deliver 22 hours of talktime. It is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear panel.
It will be available through Flipkart, Nokia Mobile Shop, Croma and Reliance digital. The Nokia 8 Sirocco price in India is Rs.44,999 only. Pre-booking will start from 20th April, 2018 and shipment will start from 30th April, 2018.
