Nokia 9 FCC certifications reveals key specifications

We know that Nokia 9 will be one of first Nokia smartphone to make it to market. We are even hinted about the official announcement event to be held in January, 2018. Recently, Nokia 9 got certification on FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and it reveals a lot of specifications about the handset. Listing suggests that it will feature an OLED screen with thin bezels, dual camera and Android Oreo. It also got listed on China’s 3C website which rendered several details about the phone.

The Nokia 9 smartphone will not sport much speculated Qualcomm SnapDragon 845 SoC instead it will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. Handset will come under model names of TA-1042, TA-1005, and TA-1009. Out of these three models, TA-1005 was seen on FCC website dubbed as Nokia 9.

Key specifications that are revealed through the listing includes device featuring a 5.5 inch OLED screen (manufactured by LG Display) with unknown resolution and aspect ratio but will be with thin-bezels. Nokia 9 will sport dual rear camera with 12MP and 13MP sensors, listing also tells about a 5 mega-pixel selfie shooter. Handset will have a 128GB internal storage paired with unknown RAM.Other details include a battery of 3250mAH battery with fast charging feature and it will run Android Oreo OS.

The Nokia 9 smartphone will be the first device from HMD Global to feature an OLED display, the display also seen on Apple iPhone X.

We don’t know about the exact dates of launch of smartphone. But rumors suggests that Nokia 9 will make it to market in early 2018 along the Nokia 8 (2018) edition. Latest tip suggest an launch event to held in China on 19th January, 2018.

Recently, Nokia 1 with Android Go was rumored to launch in March 2018 along with other Nokia phones such as Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 4 (revealed through apk crackdown of Nokia Camera App). This streamline of back to back launches shows how desperately company is trying for successful comeback.
