After a series of leaks and rumors, Oppo has finally introduced it’s most innovative flagship phone of the year. Dubbed as Oppo Find X, it presents an alternative to get rid of notch by providing a motorized camera slider that pops in and out from top in less than a second. Right after introduction of notch in Apple iPhone X, which happens to be a controversial innovation with lots of critics, manufacturers were trying to bring a better way to offer full screen display and house sensors on the front panel. The pop up and down camera slider on Find X wins that race.
The Oppo Find X also ditches the fingerprint sensor and will rely only on 3D facial scanning as security options to access the device. It is designed with a shiny metal surface at the back and camera sensors are not visible on the front or rear panel. In place of that, makers have introduced a motorised camera slider than pops up with sensors on both sides. When your phone screen is locked, a swipe on the lock screen will automatically opens the camera slider and front sensors will pop up to scan your face to unlock your device, all this process happens in less than a second.

Oppo Find X sports a 6.42-inches FHD+ AMOLED display with 93.8% screen-to-body ratio (thanks to camera slider), 19.5:9 aspect ratio and display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone supports Dual SIMs and runs Android 8.1 Oreo based ColorOS 5.1 UI. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clubbed with Adreno 630 GPU. Find X will feature 8GB RAM paired with 256GB internal storage with no option to expand the storage. A special Limited Lamborghini Edition that has 512GB storage paired with 8GB RAM, carbon fibre back, and Super VOOC Flash Charge will also be outed, said the company.

In terms of camera configurations, Oppo Find X packs a camera slider that houses dual camera setup on the back side featuring 16 megapixel (LED flash, OIS and f/2.0 aperture) and 20 megapixel (f/2.2 aperture) image sensors. The rear camera comes loaded with AI integrations through AI portraits and AI Scene Recognition technologies. On the front side, Find X features a massive 25 megapixel selfie sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 3D facial scanning named as O-Face Recognition technology (it uses 15,000 facial dot projections for mapping and reading your face). Thanks to an IR sensor, facial recognition works in dark lights as well. Oppo claims that this unlocking technology has never been used in any Android smartphone yet and stresses it to be 20 times faster than normal fingerprint unlocking. Most importantly, the popping camera slider is tested to be worked over 300,000 times for durability, according to the makers.
The Oppo Find X is fueled with a 3730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support. It measures 156.7 x 74.3 x 9.4 mm in terms of dimensions and weighs at 186 gram. It is supported with animated 3D emojis (named as 3D Omoji) to have real time fun with your facial expressions.
The Oppo Find X Price is set at EUR 999 (approx Rs.78,999) for standard variant and will be out for sale in August, 2018. There is no official word on price in India yet, but company has finalised 12 July to make announcements about availability of phone in India and we might get to know about prices too. China launch event is scheduled for 29th July. Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition is priced at EUR 1,699 (approximately Rs.1,34,000).
