Panasonic presented its low-end specifications smartphone in India named as Eluga i9. It will be available exclusively through Flipkart at a price of Rs.7,499 starting from 15th December onward. This budget smartphone looks to compete with the likes of Redmi 5A, Redmi 4 etc. but its specifications however does not make that easy bet.

Android Nougat powered dual sim smartphone, Panasonic Eluga i9 packs 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution featuring curved 2.5D with panda glass protection. Device will be presented in three color variants – champagne gold, space grey and blue. Powered by MT6737 quad core processor which is clocked at 1.25 GHz further clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using hybrid slot.

Eluga i9 features decent cameras – 13MP camera sensor is mounted on the rear side with f/2.2 aperture and added features like HDR, Face Beauty, Burst Shot, Night, Professional, Watermark, Panoroma etc. Secondary camera on the device is of 5MP with 3P lens element and f/2.4 aperture.
Smartphone has a 2500 mAH battery which is a major point where customers can get worried because better battery powered smartphones are offered in same or low price segment. Fingerprint sensor is mounted on the back of device. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB, GPS, Edge support etc.
Overall decent specifications are packed into Panasonic Eluga i9 but according to the price of Rs.7,499 it should have placed a better battery near to 3000 mAH.
