    I upgraded to Windows 10 without any hassle and I still am facing no problems at all.
    A lot of people asking if you can upgrade RAM and internal storage, well the RAM and the 32GB eMMC is soldered to the Motherboard.
    For the RAM you have go to the service center and change your 2GB to 4/6GB RAM which would be soldered again.
    For your storage, I’d suggest add a 64/128 GB Micro SD card. This laptop has a direct SD card slot.

    I have been using this laptop for a month now. I had no issues at all even with these config.
    This includes a HDMI slot, USB 3.0 with two USB 2.0, a headphone jack, a dedicated micro-SD slot and a 2GB 1333 MHz RAM (You can increase later as per your needs).
    The speakers are pretty loud and the in-built camera quality is really good too. The touch-pad is flawless and the display you get is Anti-glare, which a lot of laptop in this price range do not offer with Windows 8.1.
    I would want to clear out to all that this is not an SSD, this is eMMC (embedded MMC) which is like a flash storage fixed on the motherboard. Marginal difference in terms of speed (better) compared to a regular HDD.
    Now coming to my usage of this product – I do not run heavy applications such as Photoshop. I just use chrome browser (I open 10-15 tabs in a go), MS Office, Skype / PDF to Word converter and similar applications to these level of softwares.
    I have just added a 32GB Micro-SD card to store a few TV series and still runs smooth.
    Yes, a lot of people did tell me that, if I had put more 2-3K more I would have got 15.6 inches with 500GB HDD however, I still chose this as I have a desktop with 1TB HDD and Full HD monitor and 2TB WD passport. No point of this additional 400+GB space. I have everything what I need already. My main motive was to carry a small but a good display laptop to work everyday.
    Choose wisely what you need. Don’t just buy stuff coz it offers more.

    I am a computer engineering student. Chromebooks have the perfect hardware, except for ChromeOS and its internet dependence. The Stream solves it. I’ve been waiting for a long time for the Stream to be launched in India. If storage isn’t a problem for you, this is perfect.
    What I love about it:
    1 Slim, lightweight.
    2 Fast to boot and other operations because of eMMC storage.
    3 Looks – Everyone who has seen the laptop asks about it.
    4 Long battery life ( 7 hrs easy)
    5 Decent processor – Can handle normal coding tasks, eclipse and all.
    6 Silent – Because of no fans or spinning hard disks.
    What I dont like:
    1 eMMC storage is a hassle for booting Linux OSs.
    2 Keyboard sucks. (Similar to others in this price range)
    3 Touchpad is meh.
    I’d get this over any laptop in the price range 20-50k. Only Ultrabooks can beat this for me. Note I’m not a gamer. I haven’t even tried playing on this. Portability and battery is what I care about. I have an HDD for my media storage. Added a 64GB microSD for expansion.

    I am glad that I am the first to review.The product arrived earlier.This is the best for everyday use. The colour is very attractive and impressive.It doesnt have much crapware that we see in big budget laptops.I have used Sony vaio and HCL laptop. They are very slow to boot.This stream can be made faster by uninstalling some crap like HP tools, Realtek and McAfee which can slow the stream.
    I plan to use it for core browsing and for my office work.Despite some limitation like 2GB RAM and 32 GB storage the laptop is a good buy that too at 20k. We can use the 64 GB SD Card and cloud storage to address the limitations.
    To sum up it is a amazing ,sleek,light weight and effective VFM laptop for everyday use.

    I was really impressed with the product, price and the offers I received with the eligibility to update to Windows 10.
    I was really waiting for the update to be downloaded, and then after i found out the issue. After doing download and update required, system memory left empty is around 7-8 gb and the update needs 10 GB of space, what the hell.
    I tried the option to install with the external drive. When the instalation was about to complete it displayed error message insert the external drive which was already inserted. Anyways when i moved to re-install, i found downloaded data moved to external disk and system restarted downloading. Likewise after clearing all system dumps, still i am not able to update this system to Windows 10.

    Let me give some positive points, if you are not excited for Windows 10 and you can manage with Win8.1, it is the best laptop for you ! But I can’t.

    I wanted to buy a new laptop but since my usage mostly consists of browsing, reading, watching movies and using programs like Microsoft office, I didn’t find spending 30k+ worth on laptops in that price range. At the same time, I didn’t want screen size to be as small as 11-11.5 inches or as huge as 15.7 inches (no sleekness, no portability) while considering budget laptops within 25k.Unfortunately, almost all laptops within this range have this screen size + bulkiness issue with most laptops weighing more than 2.2 kgs.
    And then I came across this HP’s gift to poor humans like me who are on a tight budget but at the same time have shamelessly great expectations. And, to my surprise, all those expectations were met and more! Listing down some of its great features –

    1. At 13.3 inch screen size, its slightly wider compared to Macbook Air. I loved its display which doesn’t put any strain on the eyes, looks crystal clear. Some people have complained about display washing out quickly if you change your angle of viewing but I personally didn’t notice any major fading. Also, why would you even try looking at the screen from extreme angles? :O Also, its screen gets locked at around 130 degrees but still plenty of room for adjustment from 90 – 130.

    2. Chicklet keyboard works well and trackpad is responsive. Some reviewers have mentioned issues with trackpad but I guess HP has fixed those now since my trackpad works perfectly well.
    3. Speakers are pretty loud.
    4. With an average usage, it gives around 5-6 hours of battery life.
    5. Slight Heating is only at the base of the laptop when you work on it for longer duration. Nothing can be felt on top. It doesn’t have a fan so no constant buzzing sound.

    6. Overall build of the laptop is great. It’s sleek and weighs only 1.5 kgs which makes it portable. Also, with a nice blue colour, it definitely stands out.
    7. OS is Microsoft Windows 8.1 which can get upgraded to Windows 10 which is a super awesome deal at this price. On top of that, you get free Microsoft Office subscription for 1 year and a USD 25 gift card from Microsoft. What more does a heart want?
    8. Finally, its price – I got it for 15,674 at a discounted price thanks to VISA offer of Flipkart 🙂 But, even without any discount, it comes at around 16.4 k which is also quite a steal.

    Cons –
    1. A major Con is its 32GB internal memory which is very less especially post Windows 10 upgrade. As windows 10 creates an automatic partition for backup of windows, you are left with hardly 8-9 GB of C drive memory. Moreover, Windows keep filling this space with its constant updates and within 2-3 months you will be down at 2-3GB. So two solutions to this problem –
    a) Purchase SAMSUNG 64 GB PRO (which is priced at around 3k since it’s read and write speed is good.) which is a SD card. Keep all the files on this. Use C drive strictly for installing basic applications.
    BTW, Microsoft office eats into almost 4GB of space which you can not spare once you have hardly 6-7GBs left post basic apps. So, I use Libre Office instead. I guess such jugaads are inevitable when you pay 15.7k for a laptop (cheaper than a mobile phone)!

    b) Set your WiFi connection as ‘Metered’ through Settings. Windows doesn’t install any automatic updates on metered connection. Once in every 6 months, allow Windows to update and then format your laptop. Formatting will allow 8-9 GB space back on C drive and windows will also have a latest updates. This is a tedious exercise to do every 6 months but this the simplest solution in my opinion.

    2. It doesn’t have a LAN port.

    Overall, I am happy with this purchase. Will definitely recommend it to buyers with daily normal usage! However, 8-9GB of C drive memory without any applications really restricts your usage to basic apps only! So, good buy only if its available at 15-16k, a price which I had paid. Otherwise, go for other laptop in 20k+ range.

    Pros: Excellent system. Fast and good enough for browsing and youtube videos.
    Battery life is great as it doesn’t have a HD.

    Cons: No LAN port unlike other laptops.
    only about 20 GB of usable memory.

    This would be an excellent netbook/laptop for what it provides … IF it sold for about 14-15k, which is equal to its USD price of $230 (and that is what this is worth — no HD screen, no touch, no HDD) — Why should HP/Indian retailers cheat Indian customers?

    I am in love with it. Beautiful looks and great performance for basic tasks. It took a while on startup with a few account & password creations. Then had to download office 365 which is free for a year. Special mention of the backpack – its awesome. Lappy is superfast and screen resolution is also good enough. (soothing to eyes). Feather weight. Have to buy a 64GB SD card and now that additional expenditure. Overall a great product and I have always trusted HP since the last 9 years. Thanks Flipkart.
