After the discount and cashback, I got this laptop for around 35k and I consider it as one of the best at this price range. If one is not too much bothered about the cons below, then one can go for it.

    Pros:
    1. Rugged design, unlike what Lenovo used to be a few years back.
    2. Slim and light. Although the specs say 2.5 kg, it wont feel heavy, so don’t worry about it.
    3. 4-cell battery backup is good enough to give 5 hrs. of movie playback.
    4. No heating issue. I keep it on my lap for hours and I don’t feel anything.
    5. 3rd-gen Core-i3 is more than sufficient for everyday use. I don’t use it for gaming, so can’t say about that. If you don’t either, then no worries. It’s not a gaming laptop anyway.
    6. Touchscreen is quite responsive, though I don’t make much use of it except a few times like using Google Maps where it helps a lot. You can manually disable it in case you don’t want it.

    Cons:
    1. Screen is not anti-glare, which is what I dislike the most.
    2. The screen does not bend beyond some 100-110 degrees, which is lesser compared to other laptops.
    3. Touchpad is not very good and uses Elantech which is not as good as Synaptics.

    excellent packaging. also.
    overall good experience with flipkart.

laptop is very good . just little bit heavy. but good touchscreen slim.
disk partition is ridiculous. i adjusted disk partition at first
win 8 is pathetic. immediately installed win 8.1 which is good
    updated drivers frm lenovo site
after all this useless work finally the laptop is ready to obey me.

touch screen is excellent thse who r vell versed with touch phones can enjy it thoroughly
and u can play touch games also . i already played angry birds and it is an experience.
also u can load bluestacks and convert ur laptop into full blown android tablet and play games and use apps anything

overall MUST BUY FOR PPL WHO DO NOT WISH TO SPEND FORTUNE FOR TOUCH LAPTOP .
REALLY AT 34K THIS CONFIGURATUON IS THE WAY TO GO

Bought this from a retailer not from Flipkart. So essentially a product review.
I was looking for a value for money laptop and found this.
Been using this for more than a month and I am happy with the results.

    Few tips:
    * If it is your first Windows 8, like me, you’d take some time getting used to the tile apps and how to swap them/close/multitask them.
    * Lenovo Energy Management restricts charging up to 60%. If you need to charge to 100% please select Max Battery life option in Lenovo Energy Management. It is recommended to use “Optimized Battery Life” option for battery health.
    * I would recommend downloading all the drivers at one go from Lenovo site before attempting upgrade. You might need them after the 8.1 upgrade.
    * For those who wishes more privacy, I would recommend using a local user than a Windows Live id.
    * Buy a 16GB USB stick – you are going to need it for the Restore partition backup.

    Pros:
    * My first windows 8 (other than my phone, of course). Had thought I might not like the tiles. But surprisingly, they are good. One tend to use the tiles more comfortably when using the touch screen.
    * Very good design – though I would be careful around the hinges. But for the hinge design, I would have used the touch screen more.
    * Excellent touch screen and ample brightness – good color reproduction
    * Came with Win 8, was able to upgrade to win 8.1 effortlessly.
    * Battery backup was very good.
    * Responsive Keyboard.
    * One key recovery – very easy to use.
    * Good audio – Speaker placement is good – But I preferred using Nokia head phones.
    * 64bit architecture allowing you to add RAM upto 16GB. I added RAM and am using Virtual Machines for all my work. I am loving it.
    * 500GB hdd is good enough for normal use.

    Cons:
Not really much. I can live with all these.
    * I would have liked backlit keyboard.
    * Sometimes while typing trackpad gets activated and what you type get typed somewhere else. May be I need practice, because I have observed this with and earlier DELL also – my problem probably.
    * Indicator lights – these are miniscule and may be you will not observe the subtle ways the lights can communicate – you need to read the manual. I would have preferred the light on the power button to let me know that the laptop is powering on. Caps lock key has a led indicator, which is good.
    * Lenovo could have partitioned the drive in a better way.

The cons I listed are nice to have features, and not really deciding factors for me. I like the product very much and would recommend it.

The laptop is value for money. I had bought it for home use which is predominantly for surfing the net and for my kids school projects. I have upgraded the OS to Win 8.1
It fits the bill for the above use.

It is the cheapest model in its category with this configuration.

It is a good purchase if you want to buy a laptop with touch screen.

Although after the purchase, i did not find too much use of a touch screen.

Bought this as a gift. A good deal.

Swapped the disk with a 256gb ssd from my older laptop, after migrating data and OS to this using easeus Todo. The system feels snappy as can be. I see about ~5hrs of battery life on moderate usage

I was looking for an everyday use laptop with touch screen. After lot of market analysis I found this laptop to be best value for money, the price at flipkart was very less compared to other sellers, with 14 inch touch screen, core i3 3rd gen with clock speed 2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, windows 8 installed, integrated intel HD 4000 graphics, 4 cell battery which gives around 4 hour back up. The battery life seems to be strong enough at lower brightness. Touch screen is very responsive and superb. Screen looks a bit dull at lower brightness, but its good enough for viewing media and browsing. Although I am not a heavy gamer but ea sports games and car racing games are running well enough. The keypad is bit soft but easy to type. Overall, it a very convenient and easy to use laptop. Thanks.
