26 reviews for Asus Zenfone C ZC451CG
Note : **Some of the reviews are picked from flipkart, Amazon and other e-stores.

  1. Rated 1 out of 5

Intel Clover Trail Atom powered Zenfone C is a average smartphone. I bought this one when my Moto E got broken. Here is the review after 3 weeks of usage :
    Pros:
    1. Good Additions by ZenUI.
    2. Camera features are good.
    3. Build Quality is Solid and hardware buttons are quite good.
    Cons:
    1. Pathetic battery life. 8 Hours max with 3G/Wifi on all the time with whatsapp and 4 push emails. With same condition my Moto E lasted 16+ Hours straight.
    2. Very very poor TN screen and very poor visibility outdoors
    3. ZenUI sucking battery life hell.
    4. Default ZenUI can’t be disabled and it kills the kitkat experience with its poor phonebook and dialer.
    5. Though Asus advertises the phone as 2×2 with Intel HT. Its performance any day is less than Sandragon 400 and frequent hangs are common with more apps
    6. Screen and Back heating with 15mins of 3Gbrowsing/Gaming
    7. No Screen Protection
    8. No headphones bundled

P.S. : I am a long time Android user(Since 1.6) and Android developer. So please, I know what I am talking about. Unless Asus/Intel do something about very poor battery life, whole Smartphone definition of Zenfone C is defeated. PLEASE DO NOT BUY if you are a mid-heavy/heavy user.

  2. Rated 5 out of 5

Compared to ASUS Zenfone 4, this has

    > IPS Display
    > Bigger Screen
    > Android KitKat out-of-the-box
    > LED Flash
    > Bigger Battery
    > But missing Gorilla Glass screen protection

And you pay just INR 700 extra for all that.

I agree some may want better front camera, but then you are already getting phone for such a low price and still getting a lot of features for that price…. right?

  3. Rated 1 out of 5

Mobile is getting very heated even in idle state. Simple music player only making the mobile very heated and battery drains very fast. You will feel the device very hot even after taking 2-3 photos. Not a good product at all..
Don’t buy this mobile. Go for Lenovo A6000 or Honor Holly..

  4. Rated 4 out of 5

Bought this phone as a gift for my dad…he loves it!
+ KitKat + ZenUI makes the interface smooth and quite intuitive
+ Haven’t noticed any lag during transitions (1GB RAM helps)
+ Camera is pretty decent in well lit conditions and when the background is not too crowded (5MP primary camera). Also has a host of neat settings and processing features
+ As with all Asus devices, the phone looks damn good and feels quite light yet robust
+ I was a bit skeptical about the battery having heard about the poor performance in Zenfone 4 & 5. But from initial usage it feels like its quite alright in this one (2100mAh)
+ 8GB internal memory (and expandable to 64GB) is more than sufficient to get starter with the basic and most frequently used apps
+ video and audio are pretty good…not the greatest…but for 6K its more than fine
+ call quality is fantastic – crystal clear and loud enough

    – secondary camera is a dud (0.3MP VGA)…well! for 6K you gotta compromise somewhere.

On the whole, its an awesome phone for its price!

  5. Rated 5 out of 5

I think this Time Asus Have Optimize the Sound Quality in previous All phones have poor quality of Audio and low volume level before going to purchase this please do focus on this …… Asus Major Minus Factors Are
    1. Battery
    2.Speaker Loudnes
if these r Fine then go for it

  6. Rated 4 out of 5

    —————————————-Battery Drain———————————————
ASUS integrated its battery app with the hardware. The app is called Smart Saving having three modes – Ultra-saving, Optimized, Customized mode.
Battery drains fast under Optimized mode and customized mode. But under Ultra-saving mode, I could get a day of usage(hard usage)
    ——————————————-GPRS—————————————————–
I have no problem connecting to GPRS(Vodafone, BSNL). It never really asked me to config the access point, etc. lol. All assigned automatically.
    ——————————————Camera————————————————–
TBH, quality of both cameras is a bit low compared to that of other Xolo or MMX smartphones. But Im a little bit surprised with its low light performance. I could easily take photos under any light condition especially with that nice flash. Im now satisfied with the camera.
    ———————————————-UI——————————————————-
The only reason I bought this phone is for its UI, Its super responsive, smart, reliable, has some useful inbuilt apps(Do it later is awesome). One of the best.
I’ll update if I want to add something up.

  7. Rated 1 out of 5

The Camera of Zenfone C is worst of all 5 MP camera of others phones. The image is grainy ,full of noise and its ultra pixel tech is also of no use . Also There is a software bug with this phone running Android 4.4.2 it’s APN crashes every time when it is opened and also the cpu does not go to deep sleep giving worst battery life

  8. Rated 3 out of 5

Bought this phone on 16th Feb 2015. Phone is looking good. But there is a problem in this phone. Not able to set automatic GPRS settings. when doing manually, error comes, ” Error. Settings stopped.” Call to Asus Customer care, doing Hard Reset, but still the same problem, then went to Service Center. They told me APN Updater required for this phone. you have to wait at least on day for update. They told me, that All Zen phone C user facing this problem.& only service center will resolved this problem. Very Poor services by ASUS.

    Hi
The product is all fine expect for the ringtone volume.
    You could barely hear anything.
Wish I could get that fixed somehow.

Let me know how do i get that fixed.

  10. Rated 1 out of 5

I just bought the asus zenfone c specs and performance is good but the camera and the battery is so lame. The camera is not even a standard quality for a 5mp camera and the battery is draining so fast without using internet it just gives me 6hr without using internet. As
far as the specifications the phone is a total failure.
