37 reviews for Blackberry Q10
Note : **Some of the reviews are picked from flipkart, Amazon and other e-stores.

    Karthi Keyan

    Hello,

First of all i don’t understand why people giving their reviews before buying the product.

@Flipkart Please restrict the users (i.e) Only the customers who have bought the product have to submit their reviews. (Other’s should not ).

I own Q10 for more than 6 months now, its all about PERFECTION. It does its work in ease for what it bulit for.

If you guys expect Games, Camera, Big Screen Experience, Dozens of apps even when u don’t use those all the times 🙂 then this is phone is not for you, please stop reading this review and find some other devices.

But if you like physical keyboard then you are lucky 🙂 Just buy this Beauty, there is only one in a kind.

    Things i do,
Mails, (BBM, Whatsapp, Skype etc..), Video/Voice calls, and Browsing (THAT’S IT).
It works perfectly but while browsing i face difficulties because of smaller screen but other than that nothing to complain, its awesome.

    Things i don’t,
    Gaming
And all things which Android and Apple users expect 🙂 ( I don’t care about this section. )

Everything is just one swipe away, within seconds you can navigate to whatever things you need and it is supreme fast.

Q10 does its job just like that. Its all about, to choose the right device which SUITS US.

Do you compare FERRARI with HONDA, only because of honda is having more market share!!!!! PLS 🙂

When you have to write about 50 odd emails in a day, and your day comprises of being on the road almost everyday, you need a phone that you can type on, possibly even blindfolded!

Who is this phone NOT for:

    1. If you use your phone primarily as a gaming device, this is NOT for you – a compelling case can be made for the iPhone for you

    2. If you use your phone primarily as a camera, this is NOT for you – a compelling case can be made for the Nokia Lumia Series for you. Or you could buy pretty much any new Android phone and pair it with the Sony Qx10 or QX100 lens camera.

    3. If you use your phone primarily to watch videos or movies, this is NOT for you – a compelling case can be made possibly for the Note3 or a tablet like Nexus 7 which is small enough to fit into a pocket yet significantly bigger as a screen compared to a phone

    Who is this phone for:

    1. If you do a LOT of typing on the move, your only real choice is the BB Q10 or the Z10/Z30. People who have ‘reviewed’ these phones without even picking up one will probably not know what I mean. But spend 7 days with any of these new BB phones and I promise you, any phone or tablet you use after this will be impossibly stupid.

    2. If you want a safe and secure communication channel, this phone is FOR you. Now that BBM has gone cross platform, this is an even more compelling argument as it is likely that your friends, unless they are using a WP, also have BBM. Then there is the added advantage of voice and video calls over BBM (presently available only for BB10 devices but likely to come to other platforms sometime next year). To put things in perspective, I have NEVER been able to do a video call on my Android phone over the Airtel network in Navi Mumbai. I have done tons of video calls over the same network using BBM.

If you would like a bigger screen, I would recommend the Z30. I know the screen can be an issue at times, especially when you might want to open a non-text attachment. However, purely as a communication device, I think Q10 pretty much nails it.

Would I have liked it to be priced lower. Of course. Full disclosure, I bought it MUCH cheaper on my trip to the US.

But these low reviews are more of rants relating to pricing and not a reflection of the product itself. I can understand a user doing a cost-benefit analysis and coming to a certain conclusion. But most people here have only one argument to make – other phone makers have higher specs so this should be cheaper.

This is like telling someone buying a Mercedes C Class that they should buy a Tata Truck instead as that has a bigger engine for about the same price. While factually correct, it means little to the person looking to buy a car!

I don’t want to write another review. I’ll make a quick checklist to help you decide if this device fits you or else.

    Don’t buy
    – Camera
    – Video – if you’re watching movies
    – Games- if you’re into games like Farmville, Zombieville or Moronville
    – Distributing Memes and dumb blonde jokes
    – If your life revolves around Instagram, Snapchat and those sorry cats.

    Yes buy
    – Work is primary – Organizing
    – Email efficiently, securely and with ease.
    – Communicate via BBM, Whatsapp, Skype, LinkedIn
    – Browse Facebook efficiently and seamlessly.
    – Twitter
    – Listen to music in the highest quality, stereo or ear/headphones

Q10 will get your work done, with ease of shifting between each application, tabs on social media and family. It also minimizes

Its not like people who use Blackberry don’t play games. Definitely not on 4 or 6 inch screens, but on consoles like Xbox and Playstation.

i dont care what extra features other phones have,
as soon as u hold a q10 in your hand, nothing else matters.
its feels so good and right in your hand.
    fast, smooth and so convenient.
its a different class of phone, for a different class of customers.
not for people trying to find worth in silly features that wont be used by most of them.
    q10 in a phone, not a gaming console/table.
ITS A PHONE !! and a dam good one for that matter..

Actually I saw all previous reviews after I placed the order with Flipkart. Got a bit nervous about seeing reviews of getting old used phones. But what I recieved was a complete new unused product. Only thing that I didnt liked was the Arabian Keypad. Rest is all class..

It is sad that people jump to conclusion without slightest of knowledge or experience. None of the reviewers those who rated it a 1 star are trusted reviewers, i.e., none of them bought it before giving their OPINION. it is their utter frustration (i duono of what) that they have rated a wonderful device a 1 star. I believe None of them ever touched the fone before giving their EXPERT OPINION and writing a review. Cummon Man, life is too short to Hate.. You don’t like it then you don’t buy it but you don’t have any right to misguide people. Sad!! Take control of that Hating psychology that has been growing inside you before it is too late, I am sure you will feel Good.

I know about the device because I have been using it for the last few months. It is far ahead than what your biased mind could think of. It is Really Class Apart!!

*I am not a certified buyer here but I bought this one from Amazon.in (you could very well cross check this). So my review is not just a review, it is my experience like all those certified buyers who have rated it 5 Star.

Spread Love Not Lies & Hatred!
    Thank You 🙂

why are people comparing this phone to other brands?
    1. Quad core processor and more RAM doesnt even begin to make sense.. this phone isnt for people who are into HD gaming… this is THE BEST COMMUNICATION DEVICE IN THE MARKET

2.APPS- of course there are more apps for android, windows and iOS, again, this isnt an entertainment device or a lifestyle product

    3. Keyboard.. this phone currently has the best keypad on a phone..

    4. Price – its a one of a kind product, if it is too expensive for you, go for the Q5.. how can you even compare it to an iphone?

BOTTOM LINE: If you have never used BB, this aint for you, if you need games, this aint for you, if you want timepass apps, this aint for you
BUT IF YOU NEED THE BEST PHONE FOR CALLS, MESSAGES, EMAILS AND CALENDARS , YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED

    Tanushree Bhattacharya

You would want to buy this phone if you consider the following:

    Pros:

Build: Solid and classy. Feels and looks better in your hand than an iPhone or an Android phone
Connectivity: emails – fast and secure, great reception, crystal clear call quality, speaker and sound that’s incomparable to any other device.
Keyboard: non touch screen QWERTY – it has ‘the’ keyboard. No matter how I’ve tried to love typing on glass, I’ve never mastered it the way some people have. Having the keyboard makes a big difference in my desire to respond to people before I get back to a computer or tablet.
Speed: User interface is smooth and the highly rated browser is indeed super fast! Embedded videos play without a hitch. Streaming music is smooth. Nothing hangs dangles or lingers.
Camera features are nice, Pictures come decent!
Hub: the central hub of the Blackberry OS 10 is the selling point! Many professional reviewers questioned the value of centralized communications, but I can’t think of a single negative for having everything in one place (plus, you can select what you want to appear there/or not).
    Swipe features are clever
    Battery: Good

Cons: You might not like it due to the lack of free applications like those in Android or iOS, you can side load apps as of now but with software upgrades in the near future, Blackberry will get there! Blackberry Inc. and Blackberry World India! are you listening?

    Conclusion
This is a great phone for business users, not for apps, gamers, big screen lovers, etc. and it does prove its worth! There is definitely still room for improvement in the OS, but so far most of the important things are definitely covered, so the 5-star review stands.

    BHARAT JAIN

Guys please stop writing Negative reviews this is gonna affect serious end users. I bet you all haven’t seen the phone.. and aren’t aware about its sheen…

Though BB is sailing on a sinking ship, their efforts to revive themsevles with BB z10 and BB q10 is surely their best bet. Also this phone is too over-priced on FLIPKART.

(FOR FLIPKART please hang yourself.. You suck..coz you sell electronics at almost 15-30% higher anyday compared to any other e-electronics portal..wanted to write this since 2 years..got done finally.. 🙂 )

Last night I reviewed the phone, and let me tell you guys that I’m neither a BB, ios fan nor an android fan. And also this is my first ever review on FLIPKART.

    Build, Look & Design:

    This phone is a marvel..
    > jaw dropping build.. quite good-a-feel and sits nicely in your hand
    > Gives you a premium feel like the HTC ONE and iphone5… at this price range it is raw justice to the design unlike the cheap plastic on S4 even at a price of close to 43K when it was launched.

This phone is a head turner..

    Screen and Resolution :

    >The 3.1″ Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720×720 will pop your eyeballs out..
    >Now many of you think that the 720×720 screen isnt great an offering at this price range. Well, to educate you guys its the ppi that matters and at a 330PPI, its even better than the iphone 4s, Nexus 4, Note2, S3 and many more that this phone teaches to tow-the-line in terms of Color saturation, vividity, contrast, and Sharpness.

    >The display is pleasant and vibrant and the purple home screen is all fresh and great and all welcome.

So any one looking for something new in the reign of over-iterated droid versions and laggard ios can switch to a completely revamped OS BB10 which is fast, responsive, simple and sober and utterly fresh.

    Interface:

    >Newly deigned interface aimed at ease of user and multitasking
    >open any app and swipe up the multitasking screen pops up.
    >the touch and type factor is a smart edge

    Camera:

    > 8MP shooter.. zero shutter lag.
    > 2Mp front shooter – does an amazing job..

    VIDEO:

    >FullHD 1080p is of great clarity on a bigger screen.

    BBM and internet:

    >Breaking the legacy for the 1st time.. BB INTERNET IS NOT REQUIRED. means no more shedding 400 bucks a month only for BBM.. monthly Rs. 97-98 2G internet pack does the job.

    Mails and Maps:
    >Well we all use a BB for mails.. and this is its fortress none can , has and will be able to oust a BB in terms of Mail (although i do like apple’s rendering for mails). Those who use a BB know it already and this is a feather in the hat kinda experience. Corporate guys, young guns are gonna like it.. so is gonna a not-tech-savvy guy..

    >Maps: Well Google maps Thumbs up!

    Keyboard:

    >Flawless keyboard design with elevated keys directly connecting with your finger tips helping error less typing.. (also the keys feel so good you can keep tapping them un necesssarily)

    Hardware :

    >1.5 gigs Dual Core – well thats way more than enough for it to be responsive and obey its owner..Scrolling thru the menu was like Butter stuff..
Remember when Samsung galaxy Note was launched it had a 1.4 gigs dual core and was an industry standard for quite a time till the quads took over taking a toll on our batteries and we all whining are about it.. Moreover many of you writing reviews are keeping ANDROID DEVICES IN MIND. The apps for BB10 os are different and fall in a different ball-court

    > RAM: 2GB Ram ensures hassle free multi-tasking like you find on iphone 5 or HTC ONE.. Its Fast..

    > 2100mAh BATTERY: needs to feed a Dual Core processor and a SuperAMOLED screen which is not hefty as HD… so is gonna be a cakewalk for it to last more than a day.. although individual usage varies.

    >16GB INTERNAL MEMORY with upto 32GB micro sd.. speaks for itself..

    Calling and Contacts:

    > Sharp and crisp call quality
    > No call drops
    > Easily managable contacts ,
    > Noise cancellation does good job.

Document Editors do a good job as expected from a BB for business. Also comes in handy for college students to create spreadsheets, read PDFs etc.

Well that’s all I can say about it.. Its a good phone in its class and is something different from Apple and Droid Devices… Do give it a try if you want something that fits well in your daily life. Its an addictive companion you cant be without.. and its never gonna let you down..

And there is a need for such a phone as all phones have become touchscreen.. what’s the point when there’s no variety???. And when you wanna call it a change, BB Q10 stands out of the crowd in this touchscreen oriented technology to render a pleasant QWERTY experience.

    P.S: Based on personal usage!!

I have been using this phone for quite a while now and its a delightful phone with its intuitive os . I am using a iPhone 5s along with it and use bb q10 more often than it,it quite says it all. A must have for keyboard lovers .
