33 reviews for LG L90 D405
Note : **Some of the reviews are picked from flipkart, Amazon and other e-stores.

  1. Rated 4 out of 5

    Rex Oberoi

    pros: dual sim
    uses regular size sim
    gorilla glass protection
8gb internal plus micro sd card slot
    quad core snapdragon processor
    8mp rear camera
    (outdoor shooting is awesome)
    android 4.4.2 kitkat
(as it contains kitkat out of the box its already optimized and is very snappy)
gaming is pretty smooth runs high end games too
(faced no problems in asphalt 8 mc4 gta nfs-mw dead trigger 2 etc)
ir blaster for acting as a tv remote

    cons:
shooting in artificial light from the rear camera could have been better
(but is decent i would say)
    front vga camera
    (does the job)
no light sensor that means no automatic brightness, have to adjust brightness manually
(most ppl end up switching off that feature any way)
screen is neither 720p nor 1080p
(xcellent viewing angles though and screen is vivid)
    ppi 234
( bt xperia c has 220, lumia 1320 has 245 and samsung galaxy grand neo has 186 so i would say its manageable given the competition)
back panel doesn’t feel very premium
(but most ppl will use a cover so no issues there)
    ui is bland
(but is very snappy and there are custom launchers available in play store anyway)
    no usb otg support
(no xcuses for this bummed me out too)

So as it is clear its a pretty decent phone.
Sure LG has cut some corners but has included cool features like ir blaster, knock code (innovative way to unlock screen, regular ways are also present off course) and a pretty fluid interface to more than make up for it.

Alternatives (for screen size of 5 inches and above and in the same price bracket)
Huawei Ascend G700 (better screen, 2gigs ram but inferior camera)
Nokia Lumia 1320 (6inch screen with a higher ppi and 720p screen with windows 8.1 expected to iron out the kinks but has 5mp camera and the app gap is something to keep in mind, but you can go for it after checking the availability of your favorite apps and if you are not overly dependent on google apps).

I hope this review was helpful.
Feel free to ask anything about the LG L90 Dual or clarify any doubts that you may have.

    Peace!!!

    Hi Guys,
I was a big fan of samsung fones. I used samsung grnd for more than a year. After recent update of 4.2.2, fone started lagging n geting hang every minute. I was literally frustrated, so went for repairing. There were many fones around. I was about to replace ths fone with samsung s4 mini, for a moment My eyes stucked on something very stud n tuff fone. salesman was busy showing demo about this brand new LG L90.
Oh God! what a fone man. what a clarity of camera. guys believe me this fone may break all records of any other fone within these range.
    1) Camera is crystal clear
it can beat samsung’s any 8mp fone.
    2) Very quick and fast access to any application
    3) Knock code is the best
just knock on fone and it wil lock n open for you
    4) Stud and very impressive hardware
    5) UI design is the best with kitkat OS experience
    6) Battery is baap of everyone.
Truly guys, this is best fone i hav ever seen so far. let me tell you, This is my 14th fone…. And I want to continue with it for very long term.
Guys if your buget is below 20k, this fone is exceptional for u.

When I decided to buy an Android phone with a budget of around 15K, I shortlisted two brands, one was Sony and the other LG. The next major thing that was in my mind was it should have KitKat. That’s when LG introduced its LG L90 Dual phone.

There was no major online reviews for this phone except few videos that was taken in world mobile conference. With no user review online, I still decided to buy this handset from a retailer.

    Now to its review:
It says it comes with 8 GB internal memory, but only 4 GB can be used for installing any applications. The screen is ideal for daily use, it can be operated by holding it and using only your thumb. Very light weight, sleek and fits in pant pocket.

There is no freezing of applications or screen till today, in spite me installing/uninstalling applications/themes and other features.
Battery lasts for more than 12 hours, with all its features like GPS, bluetooth & Wifi turned on.

This phone has got a dedicated sim card switch button on it, which most of the time switches the sim while operating the phone. The only way disable this is to disable the other sim.

Ear phone is of no use due its poor design. The menu buttons does not have the back light and it is difficult at nights. Once you are used to this phone, then it should not be a concern.

None of the local retailers had the screen guard or pouch or flip cover for this phone as it was new in the market. So, I had to order the pouch & screen guard from Flipkart. For memory card, it is good to buy online, because all retailers charge more compared to online sites like Flipkart.

Anyone looking for a budget Android phone and want to be different from the crowd, then go for this phone.

it is a Nice phone which has similar a hardware configuration similar to moto g.
This phone has a capability of increasing memory & removable battery unlike moto g.

    Pros:
1.Supports Normal sims -(It has a one touch sim changing soft key)
2.No network issues (my Earlier sony mobile says Not registerd on network with wrong full signal strengh).
    3. It has IR blaster by which you can control TV/DVD.
    4.Good Battery back up
    5. Runs Apps very smoothly with out any lag.
    6. Supports Multi tasking.
    7. Nice 8 MP camera
    8. No heating till today though we run wifi/apps for long time (Using from 1 week)
    9. knock code unlock/lock
    10. Guest mode (for children we can give access to some apps only)
    11. Android Kit-kat (Greatly optimizes memory)
    12. Nice voice clarity for incoming/out going calls
    13. videos will get pause if it detects no user waching.

    Cons:
    1. QHD (But still you feel sharp images)
    2. No notification LED.
    3. Currently difficult to find flip cover/cases. (near future we can definatly expect in market)
    4. Head set looks like cheap quality.

More over it has Qslide option by which you can run multiple windows one on other simultaniously.
It has voice notifications by which phone announces imcoming /sms loudly.
It supports messaging app like earlier version andriod , though kit kat forces to use Hangs out for messaging.
It supports Dual Active like samsung by call forwarding.

My over all experience is great ….happy ….

    Some comparisons with moto G.
    1. Screen : Lg L90 have bigger screen (4.7″) as compare to moto G but with less resolution(qHD vs HD).So screen is better in moto G as compare to LG but a bit smaller.
    2. Processor : Both have same processor.
    3. Memory : Moto G comes with 8 GB and 16 GB internal memory with no support of external memory card whereas L90 have 8 GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB.
    4. Camera on l90 is better (8 mp) as compare to moto G(5mp)
5.Moto G comes with water repellent coating whereas l90 does not have that.
6.LG has included an IR (infra-red) blaster on the handset. This means you’ll be able to control home entertainment products such as TVs, DVD players and set top boxes with the LG L90.This functionality is usually reserved for higher tier smartphones.
    7. Battery of LG L 90 (2500mh) is bigger than that of moto G (2000mh).
Hence with 3k more you get bigger battery, bigger screen, better camera, IR blaster, expandable memory knock code feature but compromise on screen resolution and water proof coating.
Choice is yours as both have good value for money and both are way ahead as compare to other brands in this price range.
So after using it for one week..,,
Camera is average works fine for normal use.
Battery life is decent, enough power for whole day on heavy use.
IR blaster is always a welcome feature in this price range.
LG skin is very nice with lots of useful features and very simple to use.
The best part is no heating problem , doesn’t matter how hard you use it.
So overall very light and compact. Fully satisfied after using it for a week. The only thing i miss is a notification light and backlight in capacitive buttons.

using it from past 2 weeks, it is really awesome phone in this price, earlier i was confused in between moto g & this: but i purchased this
because of removable battery & expandable memory & nice look (thinner)

    every coin has two sides:

so 1st i start with cons:

    1.no led notification
2.no back-light on soft keys (but doesn’t matter)
    3. front vga camera

& now some of pros :
    *. nice look, very thin,
    1. nice ui (u cn also download several new & good themes from lg mobile world, inbuilt application)
    2. latest android 4.4.2 ( feel like advanced from other mobile)
    3. no lagging of apps
there is about 350-400 mb free ram (u can use 360+ for this, it works great
    4. about 4gb of inbuilt memory for apps storage
    5. superb 8mp camera (best in quality), flash works good
5* you can download “google camera” from play store (only for 4.4 or higher version)
it works great with ‘lens blur’

    6. easy to handle with one hand
    7. pixels clarity is very good (with ips) & scratch proof glasses(somewhere i seen its gorilla glass 2 )
    8. 2540 mah battery , work 1.5 days for me (3-4 gaming,4 hours browsing, some music & videos and data connection & sync is always on.
8*. u can use for more days (i think for 2-3 days) “if u use for jst call & sms with nominal other uses.”

    9. knock code works great, there is no need to unlock screen by d lock button “simply double tap on screen”
    10. infrared blaster (but only work for tv, dvd & blu_ray)
    11. touch is very good
    12. dual sim
    13. 50 gb on box + 2.5 gb on drop box(in file manager)
    14. 100 min international calling free with nimbuzz
    15. i purchased it for gaming & it working fine for me all game is working well:
    i played: subway surfer,temple run 2, dead trigger 2, frontline commando,candy crush, asphalt 8
    16. multi window (max. of three window at a time)
    17. quick window ( but i not used it, bcoz dnt hve tht flip cover)
    18. smart eye watch (for screen off, backlight time)
automatically pauses videos when you are not watching on screen.
    19. gps works great
    20. pre-installed battery saver

I bought this cell from Flipkart, they delivered it in 3 days, just amazing service they are well known for. Sharing some hands on experience about some odd features like :-
1- Somehow camera images getting inverted and all captures are saved in inverted position in gallery, you then need to rotate it and make them at right portrait.

2- One disappointment is LG promised 8GB on board memory but i found 3.87GB usable which is a shitty crap.

    3- Headphones are miserable ones.
Rest all handset is very much smooth and feels PRO in hands. Great phone in this price slag.

Usage: I use a tablet for any serial browsing, longer emails, and other matters that require keypad and display work.
And i use a real camera, not usually the one on my phone.
    I do not game.
So my requirement from a phone is probably very different from most users.
But even with heavy usage, sync, browsing and wifi, this phone will last over a day and a half, WITHOUT FAIL.
How many phones can do that?

Specs: A 1 GB RAM, quad core phone running Android Kitkat, on a 4.7 inch screen (perfect size), with a 2540MAh battery is a true blessing. And Kitkat is a serious power saver

Comparison: Its just a much better phone than a Galaxy S3, in the same size. It costs 30% less and runs the latest OS.

Cons: It does not have an ambient light sensor (a remarkable error in an otherwise superb phone)… So you go out in the sun, can’t see the screen, and can’t see the slider after pull down to brighten the image.

    Conclusion:
    Do not buy if:
    1. your main usage is outdoors
    2. Camera quality is critical.
    3. You need a larger browsing screen.
    4. Aesthetics and user interface refinements (Get an Iphone, HTC, Nokia Lumia)

    Highly recommended.

THERE ARE 16 REASONS WHY YOU CAN BUYLG L90 INSTEAD OF MOTO G. If size matters then you should buy LG L90 Dual instead of Moto G – LG L90 Dual : 4.7″ vs Moto G : 4.5″

    2. If overall size and gripping is important to you then you should buy LG L90 – where you will have 5.18 x 2.60 x 0.38 inches (131.5 mm x 66 mm x 9.6 mm) for LG L90, you will find 5.11 x 2.59 x 0.46 inches (129.9 mm x 65.9 mm x 11.6 mm) in Moto G, a bit more thick.

    3. If you want to use the latest OS, then you should choose LG L 90 Dual. Where the LG device comes with KitKat (4.4.2), Moto G comes with a Jelly Bean (4.3) out of the box, which you can upgrade to KitKat.

    4. If you want to stay glued with your Smartphone for longer time, then you should choose LG L90 Dual. Whereas you will get 2540mAh battery in LG device, you will get only 2070 mAh in Moto G.

    5. Love taking photography? You will get the best of still images with 9 auto grids DSLR like 8MP Shooter with a capability of record 1080p [Full HD], where you will be able to shoot 720p [HD]videos with 5MP with Moto G.

    6. It’s human tendency to keep large and heavy devices away from our hands (keep them In our pocket, purse). Even though LG L90 dual having large display, its only 126g, while Moto g is 143g (17g more).

    7. If you travel too much at day time, IPS display is the best display to view your screen under the sunlight. With LG L90 dual you will get best of True IPS display manufactured by LG Display.
