Xiaomi recently sent invites for a new smartphone launch in India on 14th February and invite reads a big 5 number. Earlier speculations hinted that Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus should be the upcoming launches from the company in India because traditionally every Xiaomi mobile was introduced in Chinese market first. But, looking at the success of Redmi Note 4 which went on to become the ‘Best Selling Smartphone of the Year 2017’, company has decided to launch the successor of it in India first.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has already leaked in detail and if we go by that leak then, it will sport a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Handset is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. One Rumor hints on a 16 mega-pixel camera on the back side while a 5 mega-pixel shooter on the front side while the other report suggests that it will pack a dual camera on the rear panel.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo and MIUI 9 on the top. It will be fueled by a 4100mAH battery. Some early photographs shows a fingerprint sensor placed below the rear cameras.
Well, the mystery will unfold on 14th February i.e. Valentine Day. Another hint is that, page source of event page says that, it will be a allrounder #GiveMe5 smartphone. If you remember, Redmi Note 4 was presented by Ravindra Jadeja, the start all rounder of Indian Cricket Team. On the same note, we can consider safely that next launch by Chinese mobile vendor will be Redmi Note 5 instead of Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus.
