Samsung has debuted successor of Galaxy J7 Prime very quietly in India. The latest variant features several upgrades in comparison to previous edition, most notable is social camera. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 was listed on Samsung India’s official website yesterday revealing in-depth knowledge of smartphone and it’s price in India. It is listed as ‘out of stock’ right now neither it is confirmed to be listed on e-Commerce platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon. Although, a ‘notify me’ is available on Samsung’s website, where interested users can subscribe to get latest updates regarding it.
It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD PLS TFT display with 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. It runs Android Nougat (unspecified version) and support dual SIMs. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 7870 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz CPU speed. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be increased up to 256GB using microSD cards, thanks to a dedicated slot. It is also equipped with Device Maintenance app, that lets you optimize memory cache and kills ongoing background tasks in a tap.
Notable features on Galaxy J7 Prime 2 includes access to Samsung Mall, Samsung Pay Mini and Social camera. The social camera lets you capture, edit and share pictures instantly while making use of live filters and stickers. In terms of optical configurations, it is packed with 13 mega-pixel image sensors on both front and back panel with same focus aperture of f/1.9 (that is better for low light snap capturing). Rear camera is supported with LED flash and auto focus.
Coming to hardware features, Galaxy J7 Prime 2 has a 3300mAh battery, metal unibody design and rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It measures 151.7 x 75 x 8 mm in terms of dimensions and weighs at 170 gram.
The J7 Prime 2 is priced at Rs.13,990 in India and said to be available in three hues of Black, Gold and Rose Gold. At the time of writing, it was not in stock. We expect it to be available through other online shopping partners in few upcoming days. Till then, stay tuned!
