Vivo V9 launched in Thailand, India release is scheduled for tomorrow

Vivo V9 is launched in Thailand today finally after going through full fledged leaks and rumors. India release is scheduled for tomorrow i.e 23rd March. It has imported notched display and vertical dual rear camera from iPhone X. The USP of smartphone is Full View display, Perfect selfie camera with AI integration and facial recognition technology. Vivo has also introduced Vivo X21 and X21 UD two days back in China.

According to the official listing page of Vivo Thailand, it sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ FullView Display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution, a notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Vivo V9 is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. It packs a vertical dual camera setup at the back panel featuring 16 megapixel and 5 megapixel sensors. Dual rear camera is accompanied by a AI-powered 24 megapixel selfie shooter with supported features like AI Bokeh Mode, AR stickers and Face Beauty. The biometric authentication includes facial unlock and rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo V9 has 3260mAh battery with fast charging support. Company stressed on providing a whole new gaming experience to the customers with this handset, as it eliminates annoying noise of incoming calls and messages between your gameplay. It also has Karaoke mode to beautify your music experience.

It measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm in terms of dimensions and weighs 150 grams. The connectivity features includes 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth v4.2, microUSB and A-GPS.

The listing does not say anything about the price of Vivo V9 and neither availability of smartphone is revealed. In India, it has partnered with Amazon to launch the phone, as Amazon put a dedicated page for smartphone launch. India launch is slated to start at 3PM, March 23. It will also release in Philippines today.
