Vivo has just outed Vivo Y81 in Vietnam with similar design aesthetics of Vivo Y83, which was launched last month. The major highlights of the handset happens to be large display with a iPhone X-like notch, face recognition and handsome battery. It offers 88-percent screen-to-body ratio with a super thin border on the panel. Being just 7.7 mm thick, it is a slim handset with curvy edges suitable to fit perfectly in hands.
Vivo Y81 launched with a Full View notched display
The Vivo Y81 sports a 6.22-inches HD+ IPS Full View Display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 1520 x 720 pixels screen resolution. Handset offers 88% screen-to-body ratio with very thin bezels and protected by unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered with 2.0GHz MediaTek MT6762 octa-core processor paired with IMG GE8320 graphics. Y81 offers 3GB RAM clubbed with 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB using microSD cards.
It runs Android 8.1 Oreo based FunTouch OS 4.0 UI on the top and supports Dual Nano SIMs. Discussing camera intels, Vivo Y81 has a 13 megapixel HD camera with fast PDAF and f/2.2 aperture on the rear side. The rear camera supports HDR, Face Beauty, Live Photo, slow motion, voice capturing, time lapse and capture by palm features. On the front side, it packs a 5 mega-pixel selfie camera with AI integrations and f/2.2 aperture. Front camera also supports AI face beauty, group selfie, Voice capture, Bokeh mode, HDR and live photo.
Vivo Y81 packs a 3260mAH battery with no support to fast charging and claims to offer 24 hours of time on standby. It does not offer fingerprint sensor and relies only on face unlock feature for unlocking your phone. The connectivity features includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 (single band), 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS.
Vivo Y81 has been priced at VND 4,990,000 (approximately Rs.14,999). Currently it is only launched in Vietnam and might soon be released into other markets such as Europe, Malaysia, and Thailand.
