Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone BlackShark seen at GeekBench listing

Chinese mobile maker, Xiaomi has successfully produced budget range smartphones in last few years but now it was spotted experimenting to bring a gaming smartphone into the market. Two listings have pointed in last couple of days that it will come with name ‘BlackShark’ and both listings have reveals several of its internal specifications. Out of these two listings, first one is from AnTuTu and another one is from GeekBench. Actually, BlackShark Tech Inc. is a company which is owned partially by Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Blackshark - GeekBench

Going by the GeekBench listing, it is a Xiaomi smartphone and features similar specifications to the one which was spotted on AnTuTu listing last month, under the name ‘BlackShark’. So, GeekBench reveals that it will run Android 8.0 Oreo and will be powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 8GB RAM. Going by the performance score of BlackShark, it scored 2,452 for single-core and 8,452 for multi-cores. This score is slightly higher than the GeekBench Score of Xiaomi Mi 7 which was seen at the same listing few days back.

Now looking at the AnTuTu listing, Xiaomi BlackShark should sport FHD+ display (unknown size) with screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will run Android 8.0 Oreo on the top. The listing page confirms packing of Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

Xiaomi Blackshark - Antutu

This is not the very first time in smartphone industry that any manufacturer have tried hands on to bring traditional PC gaming experience to mobile. Motorola tried it with Razer phones and now Xiaomi is looking to explore that field with BlackShark.

To bring to your light, Xiaomi is launching Mi Mix 2s later this month in China with packing of Snapdragon 845 chipset, bezel-less display, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, dual rear camera setup, a bottom placed front camera and much more.
