Xiaomi Mi 7 (Dipper) seen on GeekBench, confirmed to sport Snapdragon 845 SoC

Xiaomi’s next flagship launch is nearby and two faces have emerged to be launched soon. Out of the two, first is Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s which is slated to release on 27th March in Chinese market and second one, Dipper a.k.a. Mi 7, which just seen taking the GeekBench test. The successor of Mi 6 is confirmed to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

With the packing of latest Snapdragon 845, Xiaomi Mi 7 have joined the list of smartphones to feature QS 845 such as OnePlus 6, Mi Mix 2S, Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, Sony Xperia XZ2 and Asus Zenfone 5Z. Mi 7 just took the GeekBench test and scored similar to the phones with same processor. In single core score, it scored 2449 and matches the scores of Xperia Xz2 (2454), Galaxy S9 (3759), iPhone X (4256). In multi-core score, it scored 8309 similar to XZ2 (8466), S9 (8830), iPhone 8 (10214).

According to previous leaks and rumors, Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to sport 5.65-inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2160 pixels screen resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. We already know about the chipset and it is rumored to offer 6GB or 8GB RAM paired with 128GB internal storage. It will run Android 8.0 Oreo based MiUI 9 on the top. Handset is tipped to feature dual camera of 16 mega-pixel + 16 mega-pixel on the backside. There is no information on front camera as of now.

Mi 7 is said to get a big bump in battery capacity in comparison to its predecessor, Xiaomi Mi 6 which packed 3350mAH battery. Latest one is expected to offer high battery capacity of 4480mAH. A latest tip confirmed that it will support wireless charging as well.

Looking at the tipped specifications, Xiaomi Mi 7 will be a premium device and might bear a price tag of Rs.29,999 ($475). However, there is no official news available regarding the name, specs, release date and price. We will keep you updated with the latest developments regarding the handset.
